At its May 11, 2026 regular meeting, the Itasca Independent School District board voted unanimously to adopt a TASB (Texas Association of School Boards) policy update: DCB(Local) Employment Practices — Term Contracts. Trustee Chris Slagle moved for approval and Trustee Beto Rodriguez seconded; the recorded vote was 7–0.
