The JEFFERSON ISD Board held a hearing on the junior high Targeted Improvement Plan and voted 6-0 to approve it on Nov. 11 after district staff described current progress and interventions.
Courtney Braddock explained measures the junior high is using to address an "F" accountability rating and reported measurable forward progress. No members of the public spoke during the hearing. Christopher McCurry moved to approve the Targeted Improvement Plan; Rusty Mauldin seconded and the motion passed 6-0.
The approval directs campus leaders to continue the improvement strategies described in the plan and to report progress during regularly scheduled accountability updates.
