Board adopts FM(LOCAL) change clarifying extracurricular absences
LIPAN ISD board approved FM(LOCAL) with a recommended change that "The District shall not limit an eligible student’s absences related to participation in extracurricular activities." Motion carried 7–0.

At agenda item 4.C the board considered FM(LOCAL). Board member Sheree Reynolds moved approval and Lee McKellar seconded; the board approved the policy with the recommended change clarifying student absences related to extracurricular participation. The motion carried by a unanimous 7–0 vote.
