The town engineer reported several infrastructure updates to the council. For Phase IV sewer, the minutes record $104,818.22 remaining for an additive alternate at Sandy's Hardware; the engineer flagged two contractor quotes of $132,000 and $172,000 for that work. The LifePoint sewer project remains on hold while a CWSRF IUP form has been submitted.
Route 20 corridor construction is scheduled to begin in June 2025; the engineer advised that a change order will be required to incorporate an agreed winter shutdown into the contract time. Phase I AMD closeout documents are pending final contractor submissions. For Phase II AMD, the NEPA environmental assessment has been updated and will go to the Office of Surface Mining after U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service correspondence is received; a 60% conceptual design was submitted on March 21, 2025 with a planned progression to 90% and final design later in April 2025. The engineer noted mailers to residents and that environmental and right-of-way issues are upcoming hurdles.
