Steuben County approves $82,183-per-year Varonis contract to tag sensitive data
The Administration Committee authorized a three-year contract for Varonis data-classification software at an annual cost of $82,182.64 to implement recommendations from the State Comptroller audit; the vote was 5-0 and the first-year cost will be charged to the IT capital project.

Rob Wolverton, Director of Information Technology, told the committee the State Comptroller's corrective action plan requires tagging county information to indicate categories such as protected health information and personal information. Wolverton requested authorization to buy Varonis software for a three-year contract with an annual cost of $82,182.64.
