The Public Safety Committee voted July 30 to authorize application for the U.S. DOJ "2026 Law Enforcement Mental Health and Wellness Act Program (LEMHWAP)," to fund a contract with Blue Line Wellness as the provider of mental-health support for first responders. The agenda lists a minimum award amount of $51,600 and a maximum grant allowance of $250,000; the grant term is Jan. 1, 2027–Dec. 31, 2028.
