After final bond payment, Kent County courthouse title transfers automatically to county
Officials said the final bond payment was made June 1 and that the courthouse title transferred automatically from the Building Authority to Kent County; counsel said no formal action was required and a lease with Grand Rapids will be refined.

Tim Bradshaw reported that the final bond payment for the courthouse was made on June 1, fulfilling the building obligation. Assistant Corporate Counsel Jeannine Bolhouse told the authority that "the transfer of the Courthouse from the Building Authority to the County was automatic and no formal action is needed."
