City administration asked the commission Jan. 28 to authorize an RFP to bid renovation work to repurpose the old fire station for building‑department offices, storage and permit-processing support. Staff said CPC/CPZ completed a 100% plan set with a construction estimate of $1,489,710 and a recommended 20% contingency, bringing the total to $1,787,652.
