Superintendent outlines schedule changes, scholarship winners and program start dates

Superintendent Kelly Moore used the information-report portion of the July 14 meeting to inform trustees about a change in Texas law regarding cell phone use, a new salary schedule for 2025–26, and ongoing summer programs. Moore noted TILF scholarships awarded to Tommy Branscom and Elise Daugherty and highlighted the district's summer reading program.
Moore also provided dates for fall extracurricular programs: band begins July 21, cross-country on July 28, volleyball practices on August 1 and football on August 4. Registration dates were announced for July 28–31, with New Teacher Orientation on July 31 and faculty/staff return on August 7.
