After approving emergency stabilization funding, the Town Board on April 13 directed staff to develop and publish an RFP to solicit vendor proposals for engineering solutions to protect Patrick Road from West Creek. Councilman William Harlow introduced the motion and Councilwoman Wendy Adams Rosa seconded it; the motion passed with Rosa, Harlow and Nelson voting yes and Supervisor Mark Fletcher voting no (3–1).
The RFP is to study the stretch from the Patrick Road West Creek bridge near NYS Route 10 westward to the Seward/Richmondville town line and to include cost estimates and a search for possible funding options. The Board specified the goal is to identify cost-effective solutions and funding avenues before committing to larger expenditures.
