The Henrico County Board of Supervisors on June 23 adopted an ordinance amending Section 17-23 of the County Code to set fees for household refuse disposal areas in the county.
Bentley Chan, Director of Public Utilities, responded to questions from Vice-Chair Misty D. Roundtree about the fee structure during the presentation. No members of the public spoke in opposition and the Board approved the item (149-26) on a unanimous vote.
The transcript does not include the specific fee amounts or effective date for the new fee schedule; County staff indicated the ordinance language and fee schedule would be attached to the official ordinance record. The Board did not refer the matter for further study and directed no additional amendments at this meeting.
The ordinance will be published as required by law and the Department of Public Utilities will oversee implementation of the updated fee schedule.
