UDOT-driven Zion Canyon fiber project presented; completion expected December 2026

Representatives from the Zion Canyon Fiber Optics Project (Nancy Cozzens and Ava Pecora) provided the Council with a high-level project overview. Ms. Pecora described planned public engagement and Ms. Cozzens noted project timing would benefit from local traffic and visitor data; Council Member Jack Burns suggested nighttime operations would be preferred in Springdale to minimize daytime traffic disruption. No formal action was required; the presentation was informational.
