Inglemore Elementary plan recommended to council; applicant meets stormwater code but requests tree modification

The commission recommended Town Council approve PLC26‑18 for Inglemore (Ingemar) Elementary School, a combined preliminary and final land‑development plan with additional parking, administrative and LGI additions, and underground detention to meet McCandless stormwater standards. HRG said the plan avoids losing parking overall by adding one space for each lost space and that the stormwater and NPDES permitting process is underway.
The applicant asked for a tree‑replacement modification for 11 trees that could not be mitigated on site; commissioners approved the tree modification motion and then voted to recommend council approval of the plan subject to routine engineering housekeeping. "We were showing it as a 2 to 1 to try and maximize the area...there was 11 trees that we weren't able to mitigate on‑site," the applicant said during the presentation.
