Coquille Valley Elementary showcases new 5th‑grade science and expanded music program

Music teacher Emma Rostegas told the board band participation has nearly doubled and that this is only the second year of band; she credited students and volunteers for a successful winter concert. The music students performed a short piece for the board during the spotlight. The presentations emphasized hands‑on learning, rising participation in music, and the district’s efforts to expand college and career pathways for older students in separate agenda items.
