Board members reviewed the spring education schedule and identified two pruning classes and two field sessions in March, alongside library and Arbor Day tree-walk events in April/May.
"05:30 works well," Maxwell (committee member) said when members discussed shifting alternate meetings earlier to accommodate class instructors and public attendance. S4 and others volunteered to share class outlines and help promote sessions; staff suggested pitching stories to the Kitsap Sun and guest spots on local podcasts to boost participation.
The board also discussed timing and content for homeowner-facing offerings (hazard-tree identification, basic maintenance) and the liability limits for hands-on risk assessments; members favored publishing an article with ISA Foundation material and advising property owners to consult certified arborists for hazardous trees.
