Assistant City Manager and Planning Director Braeden Christofferson explained Ordinance No. 2026-07, which amends Vernal City Subdivision Code Section 16.58.120 to raise the threshold requiring a secondary access for single-access developments from 25 units to 30 units. Christofferson said the change aligns local standards with the International Fire Code and regional practice and allows fire and safety professionals to determine appropriate thresholds in the field.
