Council clears routine operations items: surplus meters, engineering agreement and code-enforcement staffing
Council declared replaced water meters as surplus, renewed a Master Services Agreement with Sunrise Engineering, approved a work release for the water source study and decided to maintain part-time code enforcement staffing for now.

Water Superintendent Ivan Merrell asked the council to declare removed turbine-style water meters surplus and to authorize ongoing disposal of future replaced meters; the council approved the declaration unanimously. Merrell explained that newer ultrasonic meters have replaced older turbine meters and the City has no operational need for the replaced units.
