Water Superintendent Ivan Merrell asked the council to declare removed turbine-style water meters surplus and to authorize ongoing disposal of future replaced meters; the council approved the declaration unanimously. Merrell explained that newer ultrasonic meters have replaced older turbine meters and the City has no operational need for the replaced units.
Council also approved a renewed Master Services Agreement with Sunrise Engineering (minor language revisions) to streamline future project authorizations via work releases, and discussed the code enforcement vacancy: staff recommended maintaining the current part-time structure for now with a budget review later; council agreed. The actions were approved by vote where motions were recorded.
