Council recognizes UPEQ as representative for Chico fire management employees

Staff reported that five members of the Chico Fire Management bargaining unit submitted authorization cards indicating their desire to be represented by UPEQ. The city followed municipal-code procedure and asked the council to recognize UPEQ as the employees' representative. Council moved and approved the certification; the clerk recorded the vote as carrying 6-0 with one absence.
