Committee flags communication breakdown after PSC conditionally approves Fox Solar; asks county board to consider appeal
Oconto County planning staff told the Land & Water Resources Committee that the Public Service Commission conditionally approved Fox Solar on May 21, 2026, and the committee asked that the matter be placed on the County Board agenda to explore an appeal to restart negotiations with the developer.

Oconto County Planning, Zoning and Solid Waste Administrator Pat Virtues reported that "the Public Service Commission conditionally approved the Fox Solar Project on May 21, 2026," and said communication between the county and Fox Solar LLC has become inconsistent.
