The Allen ISD board voted 7 to 0 on June 15 to approve submission of an application to the Texas Education Agency for participation in the Optional Flexible School Day Program. The program allows districts to provide flexible hours and days of attendance for students who meet at least one of the requirements listed in Texas Education Code §29.0822(a).
