Wise County approves CDBG application for Riverview water-line replacement

The Wise County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously on June 11, 2026, to approve a resolution authorizing submission of a Community Development Block Grant application for the Riverview Water Line Replacement Phase I Project. Clarence S. 'Rusty' Peters, Jr. moved to approve the resolution and Tim Boardwine seconded; the motion passed without dissent.
Jimmy Adkins, Director of Planning at LENOWISCO, appeared before the Board and provided an update on the grant application and how the project relates to regional planning and infrastructure needs. No members of the public offered comments specific to the Riverview application during the advertised hearing.
Action on the resolution was recorded as Resolution #32-2026 and a copy is noted as on file in the County Administrator’s Office.
