Brooks County ISD board approves software, security and student services contracts
Trustees approved multiple 2026–27 contracts including ESC Region 2 ASCENDER software, an armed peace officer placement at the elementary school, IT support and student therapy services.

At the July 22 meeting, Brooks County ISD trustees approved a set of contracted services for the 2026–27 school year. The board approved the ESC Region 2 ASCENDER business and student software subscription (service period Sept. 1, 2026–Aug. 31, 2027) covering state reports, hosting and disaster recovery. Trustee Dominique C. Alegria moved approval of the ASCENDER services; the motion passed 6–0.
