District to replace StopIt with Sandy Hook Promise app; multi-hazard plans completed

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Yancey Sanderson told the committee that the district is replacing the StopIt app with the Sandy Hook Promise 'Say Something' app to accept reports of abuse, bullying, or suicide ideation. Sanderson said teams from each campus are completing training before the app goes live.
Sanderson also stated that district and campus multi-hazard emergency operations plans and active-threat protocols have been completed. Training and curriculum for staff are being expanded to include suicide awareness, human-trafficking awareness, and other topics identified for e-course deployment.
