Keller ISD updates board on MAP testing, Heritage improvement plan and new 'Lunch and Learn' program

On advanced-academics, Suzanne McGaughey, coordinator of advanced academics, launched a 'Lunch and Learn' pilot to strengthen top-performing middle-school students' math and SAT-related skills. "In total, we invited 420 participants, and 315 said yes," McGaughey told the board, noting meetings will be held during lunch to avoid pulling students from core classes. She also outlined steps to introduce elementary-to-middle UIL academic competitions beginning in 2026–27.
