Board approves American Constructors as contractor for multiple summer facility projects

The board approved American Constructors as the general contractor for three Job Order Contracts (JOCs) to perform summer facility improvements: JOC 23-139 at Hudson Bend Middle School ($541,855) to reconfigure entrance seating and install turf and landscaping; JOC 23-140 at Lake Pointe Elementary ($310,271) for playfield regrade, sod and irrigation; and JOC 23-142 at Lake Travis High School Annex ($193,818) for restroom renovations including new tile, fixtures and plumbing.
Each contract exceeded the $100,000 threshold requiring board approval under Board Policy CV(LOCAL); motions to approve were passed unanimously (7-0). Administration said the approvals will allow work to proceed during summer months.
