The Lamesa ISD Board of Trustees approved the district'wide District Improvement Plan during its Oct. 16 regular meeting, voting 6‑0 in favor after placing the item on the agenda. Melissa Cazares made the motion to approve the plan, and Ernest Ogeda seconded the motion; the board recorded a unanimous vote.
Board members also approved minutes from the Sept. 18 and Sept. 22, 2025 meetings and the district financial report by 6‑0 votes. Superintendent David Ritchey and Assistant Superintendent Jaime Bahlman had earlier summarized the improvement plan and described related programs, including the district's ESL overview presented that evening.
