The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners unanimously appointed Jeff Ebel as interim County Attorney effective Sept. 14, 2024, until the Governor names a permanent appointee. The vote followed a motion by Commissioner D.D. Malmberg and second by Commissioner Dawn Wolf.

The Ottawa County Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a motion on Sept. 16, 2024, to appoint Jeff Ebel as interim County Attorney effective Sept. 14, 2024, pending a gubernatorial appointment. The motion was made by Commissioner D. D. Malmberg and seconded by Commissioner Dawn Wolf.
