Resident raises nuclear energy concerns during public comment

During the public-comment period Michell Palacios identified herself and urged the council to pay attention to discussions about potential nuclear-energy projects in northwest Colorado. She said she was not taking a formal position but that people in the community were talking about nuclear projects on social media and she wants a government channel for timely public input.
Palacios said, "I can't make a decision based off of 30 minutes of research," and told the council she and others were leaning against the idea initially but intend to do more study. Council members responded that anyone can present to the council and that staff (Lisa and others) should be contacted if Palacios finds additional information that the council should consider.
