Staff: Tyrone's code covers most data‑center issues but some gaps remain

Philip, town planning staff, summarized a comparative ordinance matrix that pulled from Georgia Tech's Epicenter database and municipal code libraries, saying Tyrone’s regulations cover 12 of 15 common data‑center topics and are comparable or more restrictive in many areas. "We cover 12 out of those 15 topics," Philip told the council and described Tyrone’s 50% impervious-surface cap, a 35-foot height limit (50 feet with additional buffers), and higher landscaping standards.
