Trustees approve 24‑month fixed electric contract with Constellation
Following a presentation of bid results by a county energy consultant, the board voted to renew a 24‑month fixed‑rate electricity contract with Constellation at 0.08117/kWh to avoid month‑to‑month volatility.

Michelle of M and R Energy Resources told trustees that the village's 33‑month fixed electric rate was expiring and presented the low bidders and price tradeoffs for 12, 24 and 35‑month terms. She said a 12‑month contract produced the lowest near‑term cost while the 35‑month option would increase annual cost about $3,000 compared with the village's current arrangement.
