The township received a written request from elected tax collector Sonya Mazak seeking to increase the commission on taxes collected from 5% to 7% and add a $5 fee for taxes turned over to tax claim processes. The collector noted the position has not received cost-of-living increases in several years and that comparable requests are reportedly being sent countywide.
