Students recognized: 242 honor-roll students; multiple athletes qualify for state

Board members recognized student achievement across the district. The board noted that 242 students made the honor roll (a GPA of 3.5 or higher), and of those 242 students, 114 earned a 4.0 GPA.
"Big shout-out to all of our teachers and staff; 242 students made the honor roll, which is a GPA of 3.5 or higher; of those 242 students, 114 of them had a 4.0 GPA," a board speaker remarked, highlighting academic achievement. Assistant Principal and Athletic Director James Joy reported several athletic qualifiers: five wrestlers and swimmer Quin Davis qualified for state competition; Quin is seeded first in the 200 and 500 freestyle. The board also noted DECA, FFA activities, and an upcoming theater production (CLUE).
Directors and principals credited staff and family engagement nights for supporting student success. Several principals also reported strong iReady gains in specific elementary classrooms, with one 4th-grade class moving from 21% at or above grade level to 57% after winter testing.
