Several commissioners and council members raised the risk posed by large eucalyptus and dying redwoods across the city and asked staff to identify whether those trees are on public right‑of‑way and to propose action items. A longtime resident and commissioner described numerous large eucalyptus trees overhanging Dave's Avenue and asked the council to treat removal as an action item where the trees are within the city's maintenance responsibility.
