Board approves staffing changes, accepts resignations and posts openings

"Motion made by Member Busch to approve to increase the current Media Teaching position to full time and post for a full time English Teacher," the minutes record; the motion was seconded by Member Johnston and passed 6-0. Separately, the board accepted the resignation of Amy McDaniel, Psychologist, effective at the end of the school year and authorized posting the psychologist/social worker position. The board also approved the resignation and posting for a middle-school instructional assistant.
The board tabled an agenda item to hire a middle-school science teacher; that hire was moved to a Special Meeting for the Oath of Office on April 28. All personnel votes recorded in the minutes were unanimous (6-0). The minutes do not include salary figures or start dates for new hires.
