Officials say warming-center construction is on schedule for mid-November opening
County staff reported the warming-center steel and rafters are in place and emergency management is leading readiness; commissioners said they expect the facility could open around Nov. 15, 2026, barring delays.

At the Aug. 6 meeting the board received a brief construction update on the county warming center. Mr. Bauer reported that structural steel and rafters were being installed and that the project remained on schedule.
