Zoning Code Working Group reports progress; Board to guide unresolved policy matters
The Zoning Code Working Group told trustees it had reviewed the full code and reached consensus on many items but needs Board guidance on Administrative Variations and business-district rules; further Committee of the Whole meetings, a September Plan Commission public hearing, and community outreach are planned.

Trustee Amy Hannus, chair of the Zoning Code Working Group, updated the Board June 15 on roughly a year of review and revision to the Village zoning code. Hannus said the ZCWG has reviewed the entire code, reached consensus on many policy questions, and identified several items that require Board guidance: whether to adopt Administrative Variations (allowing minor zoning decisions outside formal committee review) and whether to create special zoning provisions for the business district.
