Board raises payroll-software concerns after school payroll accounting irregularities

Staff told the board that the town had seen payroll warrants where current payroll liabilities (income-tax withholdings) were not included and that she had asked the school to stop running payroll that way. Staff said, "if you don't have the current payroll liabilities of the payroll, we really can't be processing it because we get we're getting into any trouble with our documents as the IRS," and that she planned to meet with school officials next week to resolve expectations and system differences.
