District reviews English-learner report; board asks for local executive summary and state comparison

Superintendent Meckley presented the required Oregon English-learner report and told the board she can email the district-specific data. "I do have all of the actual Lebanon, Oregon data, 4 24 25 that I can email you so you can actually see what happened in our district," Meckley said, offering a large spreadsheet and promising a more concise local summary in future packets.
Board members asked how Lebanon's outcomes compare to state averages and raised a concern that 22 percent of English-learner students were also identified for special education this year — a higher-than-expected overlap Meckley said she would investigate. The superintendent committed to including clearer executive summaries and comparative data in future reports.
