Superintendent Mark Kress updated the Snake River Board on multiple operational items July 23. He reported the district secured a Rural Utilities Service (RUS) grant that funded 130 large interactive televisions; the district plans to have all units installed by the first day of school. Kress also described a proposed heavy equipment operator class with Gale Lim Construction that could run all three trimesters and include a simulator for student training in the Ag Shop, saying he was "really excited for the possibilities this class has to offer."
Kress further updated trustees on summer facilities work: LED light installation at the high school is complete, the Jr. High parking lot was resurfaced and painted, and the football field was resodded; the long jump pit work remains pending. He also noted the district implemented an I-Work system to manage technology and maintenance requests and praised the maintenance team for their work (SEG 010).
