Students and staff recognized for growing dual-enrollment program with SWTJC
Dual enrollment instructor Melissa Matter told trustees 17 students are enrolled in College Algebra through Southwest Texas Junior College and that staff participation in college-level coursework is high; students balancing athletics and coursework were recognized.

Mrs. Melissa Matter, the district's dual enrollment instructor, presented the district's partnership with Southwest Texas Junior College (SWTJC). She reported 17 high school students enrolled in College Algebra (full-year), with 15 currently earning college credit and two within five points of the passing threshold. Staff engagement was also strong: 18 staff enrolled in college-level courses and 15 staff members were on track to earn credit or already earning A's and B's.
