Toole said the addition targets the house’s closest point on the arc so the project avoids sensitive rear buffers and steep slopes and complies with health‑department septic requirements.

Toole summarized the application: "The proposal before the board this morning for this particular case is just to add a, a small addition on the front of an existing house." Board members said adjacent owners provided letters of support, the lot’s steep slopes and rear buffers constrained buildable area, and the requested adjustment was minimal and necessary. The board closed the record, moved to grant the variance and recorded a unanimous vote in favor. A written order will follow under the board’s 45‑day schedule.
