Committee adds Juneteenth holiday to multiple labor contracts
The Committee unanimously approved memoranda of agreement (Resolutions 2026-110 through 2026-113) to add Juneteenth as a contracted holiday for police officers, superior officers, the chief of police and Teamsters Local 676.

By unanimous vote the Committee approved several memoranda of agreement to add Juneteenth as a contractual holiday. Resolutions 2026-110 and 2026-111 address the Police Officers Association and Police Superior Officers Association; Resolution 2026-112 authorizes the change for Chief of Police Dale VanNamee; Resolution 2026-113 covers Teamsters Local 676.
