Committee finds Exit 4 redevelopment plan consistent with redevelopment agreement

The Committee adopted Resolution 2026-109, determining that Exit 4 Harding Highway Urban Renewal, LLC's development plans are materially consistent with the township's redevelopment plan and redevelopment agreement and can proceed to the Planning Board. Mayor Bomba said the Exit 4 warehouse received a temporary certificate of occupancy and noted the developer "are designing some robotics in the warehouse." The resolution passed unanimously.

Committee members discussed the project's financing and public benefits. Mayor Bomba said property sale revenues are being used toward demolition financing and that the warehouses have contributed to sewer-plant replacement planning and equipment purchases such as a fire truck. Mr. Brown noted the warehouses pay taxes and provide PILOT payments. The resolution does not itself approve site work; it allows the developer to pursue Planning Board approvals and required permits.
