Commission staff used two agenda items to restate the commission’s long‑standing guidelines for storefronts, doors and windows in historic downtown areas: additions should be to the rear where possible, original storefront openings and window rhythms should be preserved or replicated, and new fenestration should use historically compatible materials and profiles.
