Trustees approve campus and district improvement plans, policy changes and pay schedule
Summary
At the Aug. 11 meeting Burton ISD trustees unanimously approved the Burton Elementary and Secondary Campus Improvement Plans, the 2025-26 District Improvement Plan, local policy revisions, and revisions to the Supplemental Pay Schedule.
The board approved multiple planning and policy items in a series of unanimous votes during the Aug. 11 meeting. Donna Putnam moved approval of the Burton Elementary Campus Improvement Plan, which passed 7-0; Misty Lucherk moved approval of the Burton Secondary Campus Improvement Plan, also passing 7-0. The board then approved the 2025-2026 District Improvement Plan by motion of Donna Putnam, seconded by Dean Fuchs.
Trustees also voted to add, revise, and delete local policies based on a policy review session held July 14, 2025, and approved additions and revisions to the Supplemental Pay Schedule as amended. All motions recorded in the minutes carried 7-0. The minutes do not include the substantive contents of the improvement plans, the specific policy changes, or the pay-schedule amendments; those materials are presumed to be on-file with district administration.
