Council budgets $30,000 for part-time code enforcement after debate

Council members debated whether South Weber should hire a part-time code enforcement officer or first pursue automation to reduce complaint-driven enforcement. Councilman Joel Dills suggested "looking at what it takes to automate the process which will give an idea of what proactive enforcement would be and then the next stage is driving around doing inspections," and said automation could clarify staffing needs.
