Bastrop ISD projects continuing growth; boundary changes proposed for 2025-26

They reported 31 active subdivisions with nearly 4,200 buildable lots and 19 planned subdivisions that could add more than 21,600 lots. Based on housing and enrollment modeling, the district projects enrollment above 16,200 by 2029'30 and about 19,300 by 2034'35. To address growth and optimize capacity, staff outlined proposed attendance-boundary changes for elementary and middle schools in 2025'026; the board received the report for planning and future action.
