On June 18, 2026, the Centerville City Council voted to authorize the city to solicit Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for grant-administration services and Requests for Qualifications (RFQs) for engineering services related to the Water Supply and Infrastructure Grant Program administered by the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB). Council member Lawrence Johnson offered the motion; Charlie Shafer seconded it. The motion carried 4 ayes, 0 noes, 1 absent.
