Assistant Superintendent of Business Services Kevin Beesaw, joined by Executive Directors Dr. Brian Merrell and Linda Montoya, presented current enrollment and attendance figures and described strategies under the district’s year-two attendance campaign. The administration said campuses are using social-media-shared incentives and administrator participation in attendance challenges to encourage daily attendance.
District leaders said they have seen notable improvement since launching the campaign and plan ongoing parent communications to monitor absences and reduce chronic absenteeism. The report described a combination of campus-level incentives and district messaging as the primary tools for expected additional gains.
