Students and adviser highlight Model UN successes, board praises program

Model UN students and their adviser presented to the Boquet Valley CSD Board of Education on their recent competition appearances and learning outcomes.
"Its given me so many networking skills," head delegate Grace Coleman said, describing four years of participation and repeated trips to Harvard. Adviser Peter Kastein (introduced by the board) said the team earned "best delegation out of about 12 regional schools" at a Plattsburgh conference and praised faculty and parent volunteers who supported the trips. Multiple student delegates told the board the program improved public speaking, research and cross-cultural understanding.
Board members responded with thanks and recognition. Chair (speaker 1) said the students' accounts "fill my heart with pride," and the board acknowledged the advisers and behind-the-scenes staff who handled travel paperwork and fundraising. The presentation concluded with board appreciation and a short Q&A about continuing support and funding.
